I am NAGAYOSHI Kazuo, the new President and CEO of World Business Associates Co., Ltd. (WBA). I took over this position in March 2023 from Mr SUGIURA Jun, who had served as the President and CEO for seven years. First, I want to express my appreciation to our customers for your continuous support of WBA.

Now, our world faces increasing uncertainties. An armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine causes severe damage to both people and countries. Within the internationally integrated world economy, it leads to a surge in international prices of food and energy and inflations. Political disagreements among several countries force international companies to redevelop their international supply chains. In Japan and its vicinity countries, frequent missile launch tests of North Korea also increase political and economic uncertainty.

Although COVID-19 is about to be under control after over three-year struggles, it is apparent that private companies need to reform and develop their new business structures to fit this new world economic situation.

WBA is a professional management consulting firm established in 2006 that aims at contributing development of international businesses. The firm was established by a group of SME management consultants certified by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), mainly by those who have rich experiences in various international businesses. WBA has dispatched experts for Japanese international cooperation projects and activities in Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and others.

Also, WBA’s well-experienced consultants have strong connections with public business supporting agencies such as the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) and private customers.

In the past year, WBA focused on reinforcing its task force groups, each focusing on specific business areas, to more effectively respond to customers’ unique needs. As of May 2023, WBA has seven task forces: “Manufacturing”, “Tourism Industry”, “Over-sea Operations”, “International Business Development”, “Food and Agriculture”, “Training”, and “Digital Transformation (DX)”. Each task force works to accumulate specific knowledge and know-how independently and works collaboratively to provide the best solutions for the customers.

As a group of the Japanese Government’s certified SME consultants, WBA has extended knowledge and experiences in a wide range of governmental business support schemes for internationalization provided by the central and rural governments.
